Hamilton care home welcomes singing sensation to Christmas Party

A sprinkle of Christmas cheer filled HC-One’s Douglas View care home in Hamilton as Residents and team members welcomed in the festive season with a Christmas Party on Wednesday 11th December.

Douglas View opened its doors to the local community for its annual festive party, with special guest, Amy Hawthorn, who performed on the 2019 series of ITV’s The Voice. Residents and guests gathered in the lounge to watch Amy perform a variety of songs, including some festive favourites.

Seasonal beverages and nibbles were served while everyone socialised and shared their plans for the Christmas season. One Resident commented: “What an enjoyable day, Amy has such a beautiful voice and it was a joy to see her perform.”

Lyndsey Barnes, Douglas View Home Manager said: “Christmas is a time when people should come together to celebrate the festive season. Thank you to everyone who attended and to Amy Hawthorn for her stunning performance, it really got us counting down the days till Christmas at Douglas View.”
