Harvest festival celebrations at Perry Barr care homeResidents and Colleagues at HC-One’s Perry Locks care home were delighted as they enjoyed a harvest festival celebration in the home.

The catering team at the home created a harvest themed buffet which included delicacies such as vegetable cassoulet, sweet potato and sage risotto, and leek and courgette tortilla, which was enjoyed by all in the home.

Everyone within the home then took part in a harvest quiz, before Residents made jam jar lanterns to be used in the firework display at the home.

Relatives and Colleagues donated items of non-perishable foods which were then donated to Aston & Nechells Foodbank, which is a charity regularly supported by the home.

The home were happy to welcome individuals from the dementia café at the local Pheasey Church, as well as representatives of the foodbank, as everyone enjoyed the wonderful day.

Rebecca Bristow, home manager, commented: “I am so pleased with the donations we have collected in support of this worthy charity, it’s wonderful how we support them each year, each Colleague has worked so hard to make the day a success.”
