Hayes care home welcomes the ‘Year of the Rat’

Residents and Colleagues at HC-One’s Aston House care home were in the party spirit as they held a celebration to welcome the Chinese New Year.

Everyone gathered to enjoy a Chinese themed buffet, consisting of a variety of pan-Asian dishes and refreshments, which Residents enjoyed trying, especially as they had not tried some of the dishes before, and remarked at how delicious they tasted.

Residents continued the celebrations with arts and crafts, in which they created their own Chinese paper lanterns and fans which were then used to decorate the lounge for the party.

A great time was had by all, with Residents remarking at how lovely it was to celebrate the Chinese New Year.

One Resident commented: “I love trying new and different foods, this was some of the best Asian food I have tried before.”
