Himley care home joins in with Wombourne scarecrow festivalHC-One’s Himley Mill care home were excited as they took part in the local scarecrow competition in Wombourne.

Residents and Colleagues came together to create a Paddington bear scarecrow, before entering it into the local competition. Paddington was a popular design for the Residents as they had recognised the character from their childhood.

The competition, in connection with Kingsway Church, was attended by many in the local area, with Residents keen to go and support their entry, whilst assessing their competition.

Everyone enjoyed attending the local competition, remarking how wonderful it was to interact with members of the local community.

Jonathan Richards, home manager, commented: “It was such a wonderful day had by all, everyone enjoyed creating their own scarecrow in the home, and attending the festival to watch the competition.”
