Hinckley care home Residents are eagle-eyed at Big Garden Bird WatchResidents at Hinckley Park care home in Hinckley, Leicestershire were eagle-eyed as they took part in the RSPB’s Big Garden Bird Watch 2020.

Hinckley Park has taken part in the bird watch for a number of years, as Residents love watching the world go by while showing support to one of the country’s biggest conservation charities.

In preparation for the bird watch, Residents helped ensure there was enough food and water in the garden for the birds, as well as making lard balls for their feathered friends to enjoy.

As they watched the garden, Residents ticked off the different species of visiting birds on their lists, as well as squirrels, hedgehogs and the occasional fox.

The bird watch was a great success, as Residents often enjoy spending time in the garden watching and helping to feed the homes’ chickens.

One Resident commented: “I always look forward to the bird watch, it’s interesting to see the variety of wildlife visiting our garden.”
