Honiton care home enjoys baking fun

HC-One’s Gittisham Hill House care home Residents got into the baking spirit as they took the pleasure of making this year’s Christmas cake.

The cake had been maturing for several weeks before it was time to decorate it – a task which Residents truly enjoy.

Two of the Residents were delighted to do the honours this year as they took part in decorating and icing the cake, cutting out icing shapes and arranging figures around the cake to create a festive scene.

Marita Westaway, home manager, commented: “The cake will be a wonderful centre piece for our Christmas festivities, we’re all looking forward to trying the cake.”
