Hornchurch care home welcomes the ‘Year of the Rat’

HC-One’s The Hornchurch care home Residents and their Relatives enjoyed celebrations as they welcomed the ‘year of the rat’ and held a Chinese New Year party.

During the party, Residents and Relatives could indulge in a variety of Chinese delicacies available on a buffet alongside refreshments and tipples. 

An entertainer then performed live music for all at the event, singing a wide range of songs which Residents enjoyed and sang along to. 

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves as they discussed the importance of celebrating different cultures in the home.

One Resident commented: “It was lovely to spend time with everyone and listening to the entertainer, it was nice to try the different foods too.”
