Huddersfield care homes join together for afternoon teaThe Denby care home in Huddersfield was delighted to welcome Residents from nearby HC-One care home, The Oakes, for a delicious afternoon tea.

As they chose from a selection of warm beverages and sweet treats, Residents from the two care homes enjoyed making new friends and getting to know one another.

Residents shared memories of enjoying afternoon tea with their families throughout the year, with many chatting about their favourite cakes and biscuits.

After the first afternoon tea was such a great success, both homes are looking to join together again for regular activities in the future.

One Resident commented: “I had a lovely time. I even saw a friend that I haven’t seen in years.”
