Laindon care home welcomes furry friend

HC-One’s Oaklands care home were delighted to welcome Bertie the Bassett Hound, who belongs to Resident Peggy and is currently residing with Peggy’s son.

Bertie visits the home regularly and enjoys cuddles from Residents, to Peggy’s delight each time. 

Peggy enjoys regularly seeing Bertie, and seeing how he has changed each time, before showing him off to the other Residents in the home.

Everyone’s day was made extra special after seeing Bertie in the home. Stephanie Massey, home manager, commented: “Seeing Peggy’s face each time Bertie visits, is just priceless. Every Resident enjoys seeing him and giving him a cuddle, it’s wonderful to see.”
