Local school children offer helping hand at Kirkcaldy care home

Three pupils from Kirkcaldy High School spent five weeks volunteering at HC-One’s Chapel Level care home.

Adam, Billie and Lilly visited the home regularly over five weeks, offering a helping hand throughout the busy festive season and having one-to-one time with the Residents, learning about their childhood, careers and families.

Over the five weeks, the children and Residents formed strong bonds and got to learn a lot about each other, the pupils even surprised the Residents with some Christmas cards and gifts which were all greatly appreciated.

Sarah Flower, Home Manager at Chapel Level said: “Thank you to Adam, Billie and Lilly for their support over the last five weeks, it’s been wonderful to watch them build friendships with our Residents and we hope they come back to visit us again soon.”
