Love is all around at Calverton care home

Love was in the air at Springwater Lodge care home in Calverton, Nottingham as Residents celebrated Valentine’s Day. 

Colleagues at the home arranged a fantastic party to help Residents celebrate the day of love, as chef Debra prepared a fantastic buffet filled with sweet and savoury treats, including homemade cakes.

Residents enjoyed singing and dancing along to a number of all-time favourite love songs, as talented singer Tanya performed. 

Springwater Lodge crowned a King and Queen of the party, with Debra and Andrew winning the Colleague competition and David and Lillian being selected from the Residents. Each winner was smiling from ear to ear as they discovered they had won a special meal. 

One Resident commented: “I loved it! It was the best party we have had in a while!”

Mihaela Oprea, Home Manager at Springwater Lodge, said: “The party was absolutely amazing. The staff did such a great job of working together to throw such a successful party!”
