Love is in the air at Ilkeston care home
Celebrations were in full swing at Victoria Park care home in Ilkeston as Residents enjoyed Valentine’s Day.

As part of the home’s activities to celebrate the annual day of love, Residents were joined by their friends and family to enjoy a performance from the talented Razzle Dazzle entertainers.

The show was a great success, with the audience singing, dancing and clapping along to a variety of all-time favourite love songs.

Residents also enjoyed presenting their loved ones with Valentine’s Day cards, which they prepared along with the home’s love-themed decorations in an exciting arts and crafts session earlier in the week.

Once the entertainment had come to an end, Valentine’s Day commenced with a cake decorating class and a Romilla chair-based dance activity to promote physical wellbeing of those living at the home.

Everyone enjoyed tucking in to a delicious buffet to round the celebrations off.

The day was a great success, as one Resident commented: “My wife will be so happy that I’ve been able to make her a card.”

Another person added: “I really enjoyed the entertainment and the décor was lovely.”
