Love is in the air at Spennymoor care home

The team at HC-One’s Lothian House care home in Spennymoor helped husband and wife, Mark and Lilian Spence celebrate Valentine’s Day on Friday 14th February.

Staff at Lothian House wanted to make it a Valentine’s Day that Mr and Mrs Spence wouldn’t forget, so purchased a single red rose for Mark to give to Lillian on the big day and arranged for a local singer to visit the home to perform a variety of classic love ballads for all Residents to enjoy.

Everyone had a wonderful day, especially Lillian and Mark who commented on how blessed they feel to be able to celebrate Valentine’s Day with the person they love and thanked the team for making the day extra special for them.

Lothian House Home Manager, Jill Carr said: “It was heart-warming to see Mr and Mrs Spence spending quality time together on Valentine’s Day, I am so proud that our team has been able to help the couple to create more happy memories.”
