Lunch with a difference at Ashgrove care homeColleagues at HC-One’s Ashgrove care home celebrated Proud to Care week as they held a ‘pot luck’ staff lunch in the home.

Each staff member brought in dishes from their different native countries, including India, Pakistan, Jamaica and the Phillipines.

Everyone enjoyed sampling each of the delicious delicacies, as they spoke about the cultures of each country and compared similiarities and differences.

One nurse remarked at how much of a lovely atmosphere it was, as well as being a wonderful way for all to bond with one another.

Cynthia Bayonito, home manager, commented: “It was lovely to enjoy different tastes and smells, whilst learning new facts about the countries. A wonderful lunch was enjoyed by all.”
