Manchester charity supports homeless community with shoebox appealResidents at Worsley Lodge care home in Worsley, Manchester was delighted to show its support to the local homeless community with a generous donation for the shoebox appeal.

Worsley Lodge welcomed donations from Residents, Relatives, Colleagues and the local community to be included in the boxes, which helps provide essentials to those affected by homelessness in the local community.

Residents were keen to add a special touch to the shoeboxes, as Susan and Marjorie decorated the boxes and even included homemade cards.

Worsley Lodge’s maintenance officer, Mike, was delighted to help out by taking the parcels to the local drop off point.

Anne Bannon, Home Manager at Worsley Lodge, said: “At HC-One, we are committed to helping out our local community wherever possible. It was lovely to see so many people donating to our shoebox appeal, which we hope will make a huge difference to those affected by homelessness in Manchester.”
