Milliner House Residents enjoy remembrance assembly at local primary schoolResidents at HC-One’s Milliner House care home were delighted to attend an assembly at the local primary school in honour of Remembrance Sunday.

The Residents and some Colleagues attended the local primary school to watch the Year 5 class perform their school play surrounding World War Two, complete with costumes and décor.

Everyone remarked at how lovely it was to see the children learning about the war, with Residents especially liking the clothes worn by the children acting as evacuees.

Residents brought along their own photographs and pictures, as well as a variety of letters to reminisce, commenting on the music played during the performance, and how this brought back memories.

Kathryn Sygrove, home manager, commented: “Everyone really enjoyed the afternoon, seeing the children and sharing their own stories.”
