Morpeth care home celebrates Burns NightResidents and team members at HC-One’s Foxton Court care home in Morpeth enjoyed some early Burns Night celebrations on Friday 24th January.

Burns Night is a celebration of the life of the bard Robert Burns which is traditionally hosted on the anniversary of his birthday, 25th January 1759. The day also commemorates Burns' contribution to Scottish culture, including his best known work, Auld Lang Syne.

A bagpipe performer and highland dancers provided traditional Scottish entertainment for Residents, everyone also enjoyed listening to a poetry reading followed by a delicious buffet filled with Scottish cuisine and delicacies.

Joanne Bulford, Foxton Court Home Manager commented: “I am pleased everyone enjoyed our Burns Night celebrations, it was great to celebrate Scottish culture and pastimes.”
