Musical afternoons at Oaklands care homeMusic is in the air regularly at HC-One’s Oaklands care home, as Residents enjoy listening to music each day.

In a bid to support each of the Residents’ music tastes, the home have introduced a ‘request a song hour’ in which Residents are able to request their favourite songs to be played, encouraging reminiscence of fond memories and getting everyone up to dance and sing along.

The intitiative is a popular one, as Residents and their Relatives enjoy listening to their favourite tunes and offers Residents the ability to make their own decisions about the songs they’d like to hear.

One Resident enjoyed it so much, they remarked: “It has been a great idea to introduce into the home, we all like different songs so this is a wonderful to way to welcome everyone’s opinions.”
