Newton Aycliffe care home opens doors to local community for festive feteHC-One’s St Clare’s Court care home in Newton Aycliffe was filled with Christmas cheer on Saturday 7th December, when Residents and team members welcomed friends, family and members of the local community to the homes Christmas Fete.

In preparation for the event, Residents helped create beautiful Christmas decorations to be displayed throughout the home, wrapped presents for local children and some knitted clothing and toys to be sold as gifts at the Fete.

The local community visited the home on Saturday 7th December to browse the variety of stalls, visit Santa in his grotto, socialise with Residents and enjoy seasonal beverages and nibbles.

Michelle Jones, St Clare’s Court Home Manager said: “Thank you to everyone who attended our Christmas Fete, it has really got everyone at St Clare’s Court counting down the days till Christmas.

“Through people’s support and generosity, we also managed to raise just under £500 for the Resident’s Comfort Fund.”
