Oldbury care home enjoy welcoming the ‘Year of the Rat’Residents and Colleagues at HC-One’s Dingle Meadow care home enjoyed celebrations as they held an afternoon in honour of the Chinese New Year.

Decorations adorned the lounges as red and gold surrounded the room and Colleagues dressed in their best clothing for the event, with a group of Colleagues even coming together to dress in a dragon costume and walked around the home for Residents to see.

Everyone enjoyed playing their own musical instruments as they laughed about the different tunes they could each play. Tables were laid in the dining area for Residents to enjoy afternoon tea with delicious cakes, alongside a variety of pan-asian delicacies.

One Resident remarked: “This has been a day I will never forget, it’s been great to get into the spirit of the new year.”
