Perth care home Resident celebrates 90th birthdayIsobella Laird, a Resident at HC-One’s Strathtay House care home in Perth celebrated her 90th birthday on Monday 13th January with her friends, family, fellow Residents and staff at the home.

Born across the pond in Pennsylvania in 1930 before moving to Scotland, Isobella was a shop owner with her husband, Arthur and had eight children, five sons and three daughters. When asked what her secret to a long life is, Isobella commented that she thinks it is always staying true to herself.

To celebrate her special day, Isobella went for a special family lunch and when she returned to Strathtay House, Isobella was greeted by her fellow Residents and team members for a birthday tea party with homemade cake.

Judith Meaden, Strathtay House Home Manager said: “I am pleased that we were able to help Isobella celebrate her birthday, she is a lovely lady and it was great to see her smiling and having fun with her friends.”
