Pet therapy at Ilford care homeResidents at HC-One’s Seabrooke Manor were delighted to welcome an exotic pet therapy organisation to the home to host a session and introduce them to the different animals.

After a recent session which was enjoyed by Residents and their Relatives, the home decided to welcome the group back to bring along their animals again.

Residents were thrilled to be involved and engage with the animals, as they were happy to cuddle and stroke the animals, asking questions about each one. One Resident enjoyed meeting the dogs, as he found a specific interest in one of the dogs who reminded him of his dog he had growing up.

Gladys Chibanda, home manager, commented: “The Residents have enjoyed this session so much, we are looking forward to the group visiting again soon with some more animals.”
