Pumpkin picking fun at The GablesResidents at HC-One’s The Gables care home were delighted to get into the Halloween spirit as they visited a local farm with Colleagues from the home, to choose their pumpkins.

Everyone was excited as they came across chickens and other animals within the farm, and made their decision of which pumpkin to choose.

Afterwards, everyone went to the local farm shop café to enjoy a warm beverage and discuss how they would carve their pumpkins, before retreating to the home to get to work on their decorating.

All in all, Residents were delighted with the outcome of their pumpkins, giving them scary faces in the spirit of Halloween.

Henry Mutambo, home manager, commented: “The Residents have really enjoyed themselves today. The pumpkins they have created, look wonderful and scary!”
