Ready, steady, cook! Baking club is a hit at Leicester care homeThe introduction of a cookery club has gone down a treat with Residents at Harley Grange care home in Leicester.

Each week, Residents gather together to bake a different sweet or savoury treat.

The most recent creation was fairy cakes, as Residents took it in turns to mix the ingredients and spoon it into cupcake cases.

Once the cupcakes had been taken out of the oven and cooled, Residents helped to ice their cakes before serving them up at the home’s afternoon tea.

The baking club went down a treat, as one Resident commented: “The cakes were absolutely lovely! I cannot wait to see what we make in the next session!”
