Resident turns 99 years young at Dukinfield care homeThere were celebrations all around as Resident Edith turned 99 years young at The Beeches care home in Dukinfield, Tameside.

Colleagues at The Beeches organised a fun-filled party for Edith to enjoy with her family and friends in light of the special occasion.

The party included a delicious buffet filled with sweet and savoury treats, which people enjoyed while listening to a performance from talented singer, Steffi. Everyone was singing and dancing along to the music as the entertainment included a number of classic hits from the 1950s.

Edith said: “Thank you for a lovely afternoon, it’s been nice to celebrate with all my friends.”

Edith’s daughter added: “The home has done a fabulous job arranging my mum’s 99th birthday and she and everyone else had a lovely afternoon. The staff are great and they made so much effort getting everyone involved with the dancing.”

Sade, Wellbeing Coordinator at The Beeches, said: “We had a lovely afternoon celebrating Edith’s 99th birthday. As always, Steffi put on a fantastic show and had everyone up singing and dancing.”
