Residents enjoy special Valentine’s Day lunch at Dukinfield care homeCelebrations were in full swing at The Beeches care home in Dukinfield, Tameside as Residents enjoyed a special meal for Valentine’s Day.

Throughout the many exciting events at The Beeches throughout the year, Colleagues work hard to raise money for the Residents’ comfort fund to treat those living at the home.

As fish and chips day is always highly-anticipated at The Beeches, Colleagues decided to give Residents a special fish and chip lunch for Valentine’s Day.

Residents were given the choice of fish, sausage, chips and pie, with traditional fish and chip shop sides such as peas, gravy and tomato sauce.

The meal went down a treat, as Residents shared memories from Valentine’s Day in the past while enjoying a lovely glass of wine.

Audrey, a Resident at The Beeches, said: “The dinner was beautiful, the curry sauce was very tasty.”

Ian added: “I have really enjoyed the dinner today. The curry sauce was nice. It was a nice change.”

Sade, Wellbeing Coordinator at The Beeches, said: “Chippy dinner is always a winner here at The Beeches. Everyone had positive things to say about their meal and there was lots of empty plates!”
