Residents enjoy wild visit from ZooLab at Barnard Castle care home

HC-One’s Beaconsfield Court care home in Barnard Castle welcomed some weird and wonderful creatures when ZooLab visited the home to spend some time with Residents.

ZooLab has a national network of rangers with their own team of animals who visit schools and care homes across the UK to deliver informative and engaging animal encounters.  

Residents took turns holding a variety of different animals and insects, asking questions about their different diets and habitats. Everyone came together to support Home Manager, Laura, as she conquered her fear of spiders to hold a tarantula. 

Beaconsfield Court Home Manager, Laura Langridge said: “I am so pleased that the Residents supported me with holding the tarantula, seeing how brave they all are inspired me to conquer my own fears.”
