Residents welcome adorable furry friends to Skellingthorpe care home

Residents at White Gables care home in Skellingthorpe were delighted to welcome Mungo and Glen, two adorable alpacas, to the home for an afternoon of animal therapy. 

Everyone was delighted to meet the adorable pair, as Residents had the opportunity to stroke the alpacas, feed them carrots and even get a sneaky cuddle. 

The handler even brought in examples of garments made from alpaca wool, which Residents were amazed to see. 

The visit was part of HC-One’s commitment to Resident wellbeing, with animal therapy being a calming and relaxing experience for many people. 

Mungo and Glen’s visit was a great success. When one Resident was asked how they felt about the experience, they smiled broadly and said it was wonderful.
