Residents welcome four-legged friends to Sherwood care homeAcacia care home in Sherwood, Nottingham was delighted to open its doors to adorable duo, Lollipops and Tinkerbell.

Residents loved meeting the Shetland ponies, which proved to be a great success with everyone who met them!

As they were introduced to their new four-legged friends, Residents enjoyed stroking the pair and feeding them carrots.

Alfred loved meeting Lollipops and Tinkerbell so much that he even gave them some of his mints, which he was told were their favourite.

Margaret, who was celebrating her 96th birthday on the same day, said: “What a lovely birthday treat!”

Stan added: “We had ponies down the coal mines. It was great to see them looking so healthy.”
