Special day out for Sunderland care home ResidentLily Main, a Resident at HC-One’s Ashton Grange care home in Sunderland enjoyed a special trip out on Tuesday 12th November.

Having lived at Ashton Grange since April 2017, Lily has been unable to go on trips out due to her health. As time went by Lily became accustom to staying inside and refused to go out for the day even when she was able, until Tuesday 12th November when she fancied visiting a local coffee shop for a drink and a slice of cake.

Wellbeing Coordinator, Marie, was delighted to accompany Lily and the pair headed for a coffee and a delicious slice of cake together, Lily had a great time and said she doesn’t know why she hasn’t been out in so long.

Ashton Grange Home Manager, Lesley Dawson: “The smile on Lily’s face when she returned said it all, I am so happy she enjoyed her day out and we look forward to arranging more special days for her.”
