Sponsored silence at Walsall care homeHC-One’s Ash Grange care home Residents and Colleagues were excited as some Colleagues took part in a sponsored silence together to raise money for the Residents’ comfort fund.

The sponsored silence lasted three hours and four Colleagues took part alongside one Resident, Joyce, whilst a Relative judged the silence to ensure everyone took part correctly.

The Residents were especially proud of everyone taking part and each commended the Colleagues and Joyce for doing so well to stay silent for that time.

The activity raised just over £500 for the Resident fund, and everyone was delighted with this outcome.

Anita Horton, home manager, commented: “We are so proud of ourselves for taking part in this activity, it was such fun, and we’ve raised a wonderful amount for our comfort fund.”
