Spooky fun at The ElmsResidents and Colleagues at HC-One’s The Elms care home were excited as they celebrated Halloween with a week of activities.

Colleagues dressed in costume each day, much to the Residents’ enjoyment, with some Residents joining in with the fun and donning their own costumes.

Residents enjoyed carving pumpkins with Colleagues, jokingly competing to see who could create the scariest pumpkin, and they also iced fairy cakes in a Halloween theme, with some Residents eating the cake before they could decorate it as they said that the cakes looked delicious.

Laughter was shared by all throughout the afternoon, and the pumpkins were given pride of place in the home’s entrance for all visitors to see.

Katie Coulson, home manager, commented: “A lot of laughter was shared by all Residents in the home, we have had such fun decorating pumpkins together and taking part in these themed activities.”
