St Andrews care home Residents enjoy festive visit from British ArmyHC-One’s Balnacarron care home in St Andrews welcomed ten serving members of the British Army on Tuesday 17th December for a festive visit.

Serving members of the British Army based in Leuchars came to spend time with Residents at Balnacarron, the members are part of the second battalion, REME and RLC stores troop and brought some seasonal treats as an early Christmas gift.

Residents spent the afternoon chatting with the soldiers, asking questions about their service and their plans for the festive season. A great time was had by all, so much so that the soldiers have arranged to visit the home every six weeks to spend more time getting to know the Residents.

Gemma Gordon, Balnacarron Home Manager said: “It was an honour to welcome people who serve our country into our home, it meant so much to our Residents and we are delighted to welcome then again for many more visits in 2020.”
