Stirling care home remembers fallen heroes on Remembrance DayResidents and team members at HC-One’s Forthbank care home in Kildean paid their respects to fallen heroes on Remembrance Day on Monday 11th November.

Remembrance Day is observed by members of the Commonwealth of Nations to remember members of the military and armed forces who have died in the line of duty.

Forthbank held a commemorative service during which Residents and members of the local community remembered the Great War heroes who sacrificed their own lives in World Wars.

During the service, members of the congregation united for two minutes of silence, reflecting on the past, remembering loved ones and thinking of those who are still serving in the armed forces.

Yvonne Graham, Home Manager at Forthbank said: “We’d like to extend our thanks to everyone who attended the service and joining us in remembering the selfless sacrifice of our fallen heroes.

“Some of our Residents have lost loved ones during different conflicts so it was a cathartic experience for them to remember and pay their respects.”
