Tameside care home Residents get creative decorating cakesResidents at The Beeches care home enjoyed creating and decorating delicious cakes and treats this afternoon.

The Residents spent time melting chocolate and pouring it all over rice crispy cereal to make delicious treats to enjoy eating later. After these were poured into the bun cases they then moved onto decorating some ready-made cakes.

The Residents were provided with different toppings, colourful icing pens, sprinkles and jam. Everyone was able to decorate their own cake, placing some jam in the centre, icing on the top and finished off covering them in sprinkles.

Then finally came the time everyone had been waiting for, getting to eat them!

Resident Audrey commented ‘It’s been a nice morning, nice to make something and then enjoy eating it!’
