Therapy dogs delight at Durham care homeResidents at HC-One’s St Margaret’s care home in Durham have enjoyed visits from some four-legged friends in January.

St Margaret’s has enjoyed visits from to Pets as Therapy dogs in January, Pets as Therapy is a national charity that provides therapeutic visits from trusted volunteers with behaviourally assessed animals.

On Friday 10th January, Norman, a regular furry visitor of the home came to spend some quality time with Residents and on Wednesday 15th January Harley the Labradoodle also visited to meet all of the Residents.

St Margaret’s Home Manager, Katherine Swainston said: “Therapy pets have a significant positive impact on the physical and emotional wellbeing of our Resident’s, everyone looks forward to their visits.”
