Therapy ponies visit Stornoway care homeHC-One’s Blar Buidhe care home in Stornoway welcomed two therapy ponies on Thursday 13th February to spend some quality time with Residents.

Shetland ponies Rainbow and Jazz visited Blar Buidhe where they were greeted by Residents and staff, both ponies are currently training to be therapy ponies, so that they can provide support and comfort for more people in the local community.

Rainbow and Jazz spent time in the lounges and even visited Residents in their bedrooms so that everyone got the chance to stroke them, everyone commented on how lovely the ponies were and asked if they can visit again soon.

Donald McIntosh, Blar Buidhe Home Manager said: “Thank you to the wonderful Rainbow Ponies for visiting us today, they have brought smiles to everyone’s faces which is always a joy to see.”
