Traditional games afternoon for Ilkeston care homeResidents at Ladywood care home in Ilkeston embraced their competitive spirit for a traditional games afternoon.

As the competition took place, Residents were keen to engage with a number of different pub games, including skittles, cards, dominoes and connect four.

The event saw Residents battling it out to be crowned winner of the games, with some Residents teaching others how to play the game.

The games afternoon was a great success, with many of the games promoting social skills and hand-eye coordination for Residents.

Anne, a Resident at Ladywood, said: “I have not played dominoes since my childhood, when I went on holiday to the coast. I look forward to playing it again.”
