Traditional Scottish celebrations at Stalybridge care homeCelebrations were in full swing at Stamford Court care home in Stalybridge as Residents enjoyed Burns Night 2020.

Burns Night, which commemorates the life of famous Scottish poet Robert Burns, is celebrated on the 25th January each year.

The Scottish celebrations kicked off at Stamford Court with a performance from Mike, who visited the home to play the bagpipes.

Residents sang, clapped and danced along to the music, which was performed beautifully in traditional Scottish style.

Mike even took the performance to individuals’ rooms, as well as a main show in the lounge.

One Resident commented: “I really enjoyed the show, I love the sound of the bagpipes.”
