Warrington care home Residents enjoy lunch club excitement

HC-One’s Callands care home Residents delighted as the home made the decision to begin a lunch club for them to enjoy.

To aid Residents who do not receive regular visitors, a lunch club was created as a dining area was set up as though it was a restaurant, with Residents being seated with refreshments before being served their meals.

Residents enjoy this as they remark at the change of scenery it provides them with, providing social stimulation amongst each person and helping to improve wellbeing.

Everyone comments on how much of a wonderful idea this was, and they look forward to it each week as it runs Monday to Friday.

Joanne Goodwin, home manager, commented: “Everyone enjoys this new idea in the home, it helps promote social engagement with one another as Residents engage with the lunch club so well.”
