Waterside care home Residents help feathered friendsResidents and Colleagues at HC-One’s Waterside care home enjoyed an afternoon of creativity as they decided to make bird feeders to be hung outside the home.

Residents gathered together seeds and some nuts as they combined them with lard to create fat balls, before adding them to their bird feeders.

Everyone chose to make different sizes of food balls for different bird types,  as they spoke about their favourite birds and the ones they enjoy watching in the garden.

One Resident enjoyed it so much, as she commented: “I really enjoy activities like this, being creative and making something that will benefit birds everywhere. It’s always fun to try something different.”
