Wigan and Leigh Hospice Awards come to Westwood LodgeColleagues at HC-One’s Westwood Lodge were delighted to be nominated for a variety of awards for end of life care in the Wigan and Leigh area.

Nominations included; ‘Home Manager of the Year’ for Lorraine Young, ‘Non-Clinical Member of Staff’ for Chloe Webb, ‘Nurse Assistant of the Year’ for Michelle Quinn and Julie Guest, ‘Carer Of The Year’ for Amy Littler and ‘ACP/Dignity Champion’ for Julie Guest.

Of the nominations, Colleagues in the home were pleased to have won two of the awards, with Chloe Webb winning ‘Non-Clinical Member of Staff’ and Michelle Quinn and Julie Guest winning ‘Nursing Assistants of the Year’.

The awards were well deserved, and everyone in the home was delighted as they congratulated Chloe, Michelle and Julie on their great achievements. The nominations were all gratefully received as Colleagues remarked how nice it was to be recognised for their hard work.

Lorraine Young, home manager, commented: “Each Colleague within the home works so hard all year round, ensuring Residents have the best possible care.”
