Wigan care home celebrates Valentine’s DayCelebrations were in full swing at Westwood Lodge care home in Wigan as Residents enjoyed Valentine’s Day.

Residents celebrated the day of love with a delicious afternoon tea, as everyone enjoyed a special Valentine’s Day cupcake and a glass of wine.

Colleagues at Westwood Lodge dressed the home with red and pink decorations for Valentine’s Day, including love heart balloons and decorative bunting tied to the food trolley.

The team also arranged for Residents to be presented a red rose for Valentine’s Day, as Colleagues gave an extra rose to a Resident’s wife as a get well wish.

Lorraine Young, Home Manager at Westwood Lodge, said: “Everyone thoroughly enjoyed Valentine’s Day at Westwood Lodge. It was lovely to see Residents smiling from ear to ear as they received their red roses.”
