Wigan care home Residents enjoy Golden Days tripResidents at HC-One’s Westwood Lodge care home were delighted as they attended the local Golden Days Garden Centre alongside Colleagues, to get into the Christmas spirit and enjoy a spot of lunch.

Everyone enjoyed walking around the garden centre as they admired the various Christmas themed ornaments and displays, discussing their favourite ones. One Resident loved the garden centre so much that she purchased her own penguin teddy which she now favours.

Residents then sat down with Colleagues to enjoy a delicious lunch in the café of the garden centre, as they discussed their favourite parts of the afternoon and how it got each of them into the Christmas spirit.

Lorraine Young, home manager, commented: “Everyone has enjoyed their trip to the local garden centre. Memories were recalled by all as they thought about their childhood Christmas trips with family members.”
