Wine and cheese evening goes down a treat at Dukinfield care homeFir Trees care home in Dukinfield, Tameside was delighted to host a wine and cheese evening for Residents and their loved ones to enjoy.

The luxurious ladies’ evening saw Residents tasting a selection of delicious cheeses, while enjoying a tipple of their favourite wine.

The evening went down a treat with everyone, as Residents chatted with their loved ones and even got to try types of cheese that they’d never heard of before!

Vera, a Resident at Fir Trees, commented: “I’ve never seen so much cheese! It’s been lovely.”

Mrs Booth added: “It’s lovely to come down and join in with a night like this, it’s been great.”

Following the success of the ladies’ evening, Fir Trees has arranged for a gentleman’s pie and a pint night the following week and plans to arrange more wine and cheese evenings in the future.
