Young volunteer lends helping hand at Sunderland care homeResidents at HC-One’s Ashton Grange care home in Sunderland have welcomed Dane, a young man with ambitions to work in the care sector into the home for his work placement during January.

Dane was keen to gain some experience in a local care home and approached the team at Ashton Grange as his mother used to work in the home. The young man completed his work experience in Ashton Grange during January, offering a helping hand to the team and spending some quality time with the Residents.

Ashton Grange Home Manager, Lesley Dawson said: “Thank you to Dane who has been a very helpful and lovely addition to our team during his work placement, everyone has commented on what a wonderful young man he is and we wish him the best of luck for the future.”
