Zoo lab comes to Shard End care home

Residents at HC-One’s The Orchards care home were delighted to welcome Zoo lab to the home as they brought along a variety of animals for the Residents to meet.

Everyone was delighted as representatives from the organisation brought along a selection of animals, with Residents getting the opportunity to hold and pet them, including a stick insect and a rat, which were the two favourites.

Residents enjoyed learning various facts about each of the species, as they asked questions about the animals’ habits and life cycles.

Anita Irvine, home manager, commented: “Residents have enjoyed welcoming Zoo lab to the home today, it’s been great to learn so much about each of the animals and holding some of them.”
